Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, Anesha is highly acclaimed throughout the music industry for her uniquely precise vocals, incredible songwriting, arranging and vocal production. Having grown up in “Motown”, it was inevitable that this developing musical prodigy would turn towards one of the things Detroit is famous for. From the age of 6 years old she was performing before audiences of thousands of people… standing on a chair so she could be seen! From then until now, her vocal ability has remained nothing less then stellar.

Gaining much influence from legends such as Smokie Robinson, Stevie Wonder, and Michael Jackson, Anesha picked up the craft effortlessly and has excelled within the music industry. After meeting and auditioning for Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins, he signed her on the spot after being floored by her voice, ability to arrange, as well as perfect pitch. Polished as a performer, advanced as an arranger and writer, Anesha, to say the least, is well beyond her years in talent and industry experience. Anesha’s discography is filled with household named artists such as Justin Bieber, Beyonce, Mary J Blige, Jennifer Lopez, Mary Mary and more.

Anesha is currently signed to Universal Music Publishing where she has garnered much success as one of Universal Music Publishing’s top songwriters along side her writing partner and sister, Antea Shelton. Together they’re known as the writing duo APLUS. Anesha can now be seen and heard performing nationally her own music when she is not writing and working with others. Anesha recently released her first free album entitled “Running, The Mixtape”, which has been receiving rave reviews. The single “Broke” speaks of a struggle many people are identifying with. As Anesha continues to gain popularity as an artist, her vocals were recently showcased on southern rapper 2Chainz’s debut release. The track titled “Stop me now” has been well received and features Anesha wailing lyrics the classic way old school singers did, leading many people to instinctively believe the vocals are sampled. This is not the case, instead, its Anesha putting her stamp on yet another song. Anesha is currently preparing to tour in 2013.
